Monika Meler
was born in Brodinca, Poland and immigrated to the United
States in 1990. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art
Degree in Printmaking from the Milwaukee Institute of Art
and Design. She continued to pursue Printmaking at Purdue
University, where she received a Master of Arts Degree. She
then continued her studies at the Tyler School of Art,
where she spent a year studying in Rome, Italy. She
received her Master of Fine Art in Printmaking from the
Tyler School of Art.
Monika Meler has participated in various national and
international exhibitions, including the Lessedra
World Print
Annual in Bulgaria
and Sixty
Square Inches, an
international printmaking exhibition. Her work is in
numerous collections, including the Academy of Fine Art in
Poznan, Poland and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Recently, she completed an artist residency with the Cork
Printmakers in Ireland, where she also taught a relief
printmaking workshop.
